According to the book the temple architecture is in sync with the human body. In Yoga, the human body is denoted with 6 chakras and these chakras are the center of power. For the idol 'pratishtapane' the same theory is followed. Initially the land where the idol will be kept is digged. From there stone, special curved stone, pot with jewels ('jeeva kumbha'), turtule are placed. These represent 4 chakras starting from 'mooladhara'. Then a neutral stone is placed which represent brahman. A picture from the book 'Power in temple: A modern perspective' book is given above (Ref: http://www.integralbooks.com/powephoto.htm).
